United States Soccer Cards

USMNT sports cards have grown in value thanks to rising stars like Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna, and Tyler Adams. Rookie cards for Pulisic and Reyna are collector favorites, with autographed cards from Panini Prizm and Topps Chrome gaining attention. Early Panini World Cup stickers for U.S. players are also in high demand.

The United States men’s national soccer team has built a World Cup history marked by early surprises, long absences, and a modern resurgence that has established the U.S. as a competitive force on the global stage. The U.S. made its debut at the inaugural 1930 World Cup in Uruguay, where they shocked the football world by reaching the semifinals, led by standout striker Bert Patenaude, who scored the tournament’s first hat-trick. After that early success, the U.S. struggled to make an impact, with their most famous moment coming in 1950 in Brazil, when Joe Gaetjens scored the winning goal in a stunning 1–0 upset over England, one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history. Following decades of absence, the U.S. returned to the World Cup in 1990 and became regular participants, coinciding with the growth of soccer domestically. Hosting the 1994 World Cup, the U.S. reached the Round of 16 before falling to eventual champions Brazil, an event that helped spark the development of Major League Soccer and a stronger football culture. The early 2000s brought one of the nation’s best eras, highlighted by a quarterfinal run in 2002 in South Korea and Japan, where the team, led by Landon Donovan, Clint Mathis, and goalkeeper Brad Friedel, defeated Portugal and Mexico before narrowly losing to Germany. Subsequent tournaments saw consistent appearances, with stars like Clint Dempsey, Brian McBride, and Tim Howard becoming household names, including Howard’s record-breaking 15-save performance against Belgium in 2014. After missing out in 2018, the U.S. returned to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with a young, exciting squad led by Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, and Tyler Adams, advancing to the Round of 16 before being eliminated by the Netherlands. With a young core developing ahead of hosting the 2026 World Cup, the U.S. looks poised to continue building a stronger global legacy.
